History
Since
1996 Modern World Communications has produced award winning interactive
content for a variety of entertainment, information and communications
companies. Modern World was launched in 1996 by Ian Kelso after
several years as a senior manager at one of Canada's largest
Internet companies. Initial projects included web reportage
from the 1997 NXNE music festival. In 1997-98 Modern World
was contracted by MediaLinx Interactive (Sympatico), Canada's
largest internet portal to produce coverage of the Nagano Olympic
Winter Games, as well as to redevelop several of the content
site's infromation properties.
In
2000 when Ian became a partner in leading Canadian television
production
company
Primitive
Entertainment, Modern World went into a brief hibernation.
Emerging in 2002, Modern World is currently developing
independent interactive productions and developing content
for its clients.

Ian Kelso - Bio
Ian
is veteran New Media producer and entrepreneur and is currently
the principal at Modern World Communications, a Toronto-based
interactive production, development and strategic consulting
firm.
Most recently Ian was a partner and Executive Producer
at Primitive Entertainment Inc., an independent television and
new media production company. From 1999 to 2002 Ian was responsible
for developing convergence strategy, development of interactive
properties, and overseeing the marketing and branding of the
company. In 2001 Ian won 1st Prize at the CyberPitch competition,
a pubic
pitching forum, at the Banff Television Festival in Banff, Alberta.
As well in 2000 Ian was awarded 2nd Prize at the Wanadoo Talent
Show, a public pitching competition at MIPCOM, an annual television
market in Cannes, France.
